The dimensions of a tennis court are defined and regulated by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) governing body and are written down in the annual
‘Rules of Tennis’ document.

• International Standard / Overall Size: 36.58m length x 18.29m width
• The service line is 6.40m from the net
• A net is stretched across the full width of the court, parallel with the baselines, dividing it into two equal ends.
• The net is 1.07m high at the posts, and 0.91m high in the centre
• The net posts are 0.91m outside the doubles court on each side or, for a singles net, 0.91m outside the singles court on each side
